Qualifications and Skills

  • A  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in admissions and counselling.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Making decisions to admit or refuse applicants to University programmes based on established prerequisites, University guidelines and other admissions criteria.
  • Manage the reception area, including greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and managing incoming calls.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with appropriate materials and resources available
  • Review and evaluate applications to ensure academic requirements and prerequisites have been met.
  • Partner with other stakeholders within the University to finalise student enrolments.
  • To inform prospective students and applicants of the application process, procedures, academic and programme requirements, programme suitability, and potential eligibility for admission.
  • To undertake admissions focused presentations or marketing activities to prospective students and applicants.
  • To undertake a range of applicant support activities, including telephone call campaigns, emails, and personal consultations.
  • To liaise with relevant stakeholders to ascertain recognition of prior learning where required.
  • To create and manage a database of prospective students (or leads).
  • Regular and timeous admissions reports to management.
